OnePlus 13 : Software

OxygenOS, and this latest iteration oxygenOS 15, always felt smooth to me, based on testing ither devices like the OnePlus 12 and the OnePlus Open. Users son’t need to scroll through pages of apps instead, the OS offers an alphabetical list to shortcut user way to user preferred apps. It’s a great way to spot check if user have an app or find one, and i find it more useful compared to other operating systems available.

OxygenOS 15 brings a host of AI features to your fingertips. If you swipe down to the home screen get what’s called the “Shelf,” you’ll see the Global Search bar at the top and supposed to be able to conduct your search or ask AI to help you answer a question , i could never get that voice activated functionally to work . Instead, i turned on google gemini and held a long press button to ask questions

AI comes jam packed into this device, with notes offering a similar experience to other note taking app like Samsung notes. Type out and you can elaborate on the text or make it more casual or formal. It’s nice tool to have if you’re stuck on a text, and for the most part, it worked well.

OnePlus 13 : Display

OnePlus 12 last year, the OnePlus 13 uses a 6.82 inch QHD OLED Display ,with a 120 Hz peak refresh rate . Compared to the competition . our test results show the OnePlus lags behind in terms of brightness , but scorers better on color breadth , and leads the pack on accuracy.

The OnePlus 13 Display is using a new “RadiantView” system that adjusts the display’s color and contrast as well as the brightness of specific screen areas to increase visibility. While the numbers above suggest the OnePlus 13 Display is half as good in bright conditions as the Pixel 9 Pro XL.

OnePlus 13 offers 2160 Hz PWM dimming , a feature that helps reduce screen flicker and thus eye stain over long periods of using your phone. Display is not only adjust the screen’s refresh rate between 1 Hz and 120 Hz as required, but also adjust it across two separate areas to save even more power of only a portion of the screen is moving.

OnePlus 13 : Design

OnePlus 13 cameras are hasselblad tuned like recent OnePluse flagships, but this time the resolution of the ultra wide camera has been increased while the telephoto resolution decreases from the OnePlus12. Leaves us with a trio of 50MP sensors fro the rear cameras, consisting of main, ulta wide and 3x telephoto. Up front, you get a 32 MP camera.
